No matter how I look at it I still cannot believe that you are 6 months old. Time is flying by! But, that's what they say when you're having a good time, right? :)
Seriously though, we are having the best time with you. You make us laugh and smile everyday and you fill our hearts with so much joy. We still stand in amazement at the sight of you and feel deeply blessed that God has chosen us to be your parents. We definitely wouldn't have it any other way.
I feel like this past month of life has really brought out your goofy personality (but, look at who your parents are). You light up any room just by your loving personality and radiant smile.
I still feel all misty eyed when I look at you. I just love you so much and I hope that my love is felt by you in all your years to come.
A little about you:
- You are still loving to growl. It is insanely hilarious. I growl back at you and you just think that is the coolest thing ever. We have our own little growly conversations. :)
- Wearing some 3-6 month, but mostly 6 month and 6-9 months.
- You are exclusively on formula and now on pureed foods and some rice cereal. A few foods that you've tried:
- Yellow squash with cumin (you are not the biggest fan of this one)
- Green peas with onion powder (also, not too fond of this one)
- Butternut squash with cinnamon (you love this one and have started opening wide for it)
- You started waving a few weeks ago (a little after 5 months). We say "hi" to you and you stick your chubby little arm out and open and close your hand. It is so adorable!
- Still pre-teething. There are still only gums, but you occasionally have a lot of pain from them moving. Teething gel and frozen toys seem to help you.
- You can finally roll from your tummy to your back and are so close to rolling from your back to your tummy. Still getting stuck on your arm once you're on your side.
- Still rocking the fuzzy blonde hair. Can't wait to see if it stays straight or comes in curly.
- Sleeping anywhere from 6-9 hours at night in your crib. Sometimes you wake up for a feeding, but when you do you go right back to sleep after.
- You love your doggies and often smile and laugh at them.
- Very close to being able to sit up by yourself. You can do it for a few seconds, but eventually topple to the side.
- People. You make eye contact with everyone and offer them a giant smile. It melts my heart.
- Sitting up and looking around.
- Growling.
- Being tickled and/or just being goofed around with in general.
Sporting her camo bib. Perfect timing for her papa's elk hunting adventure. :)
With nana.
