You still bless us with your sweet spirit and cheesy toothless grins. We cannot get enough of you.
You're still pretty predictable when it comes to what you need, but recently you have been putting us through the ringer. All signs will point to sleepiness, but as soon as we put you down you scream. You're actually hungry sooner than expected and you act like we've starved you for days. After we get some food in your belly, you immediately fall asleep. It's humorous after the fact, but quite frustrating in the moment. It took us a bit to figure out what was wrong, but all in all you are such a great little gal and we grow more and more smitten with you everyday.
You truly are our delight.
A little about you:
- You still love to laugh and have recently started blowing raspberries. You're quite proud of yourself when you do it too.
- You are obsessed with people on TV. It sounds funny, but anytime there is say a news anchor on TV you will smile and "talk" to them like they are sitting in the room with us. It's probably one of the cutest things ever.
- You are wearing some 0-3 months but mostly 3 months and some 3-6 month clothes.
- You recently stopped wanting to nurse. As soon as I try, you scream and push away from me until I stop. You've figured out that the bottle can give it to you faster, which is sad. :( I'm not giving up yet, but until I've figured out if you're really done, it's pump pump pumping for me.
- You are still sleeping pretty well at night, but you have started fighting it hard core for naps. Most of the time though, with a little persistence on my part, you will go down.
- You do all of your sleep in your crib now, except for the occasional nap in our bed. I spy on you with our video monitor and it's awesome. ;)
- You kick and squirm so much in your crib, that I've recently found you in totally different positions in there. You're moving and grooving all the time.
- You're obsessed with your feet, and are always grabbing them and staring at them. They haven't found their way to your mouth just yet, but I'm sure the day is close.
- You are close to rolling over. You will get over onto one side or the other and get stuck. If your arms weren't in the way, you would have probably figured it out by now.
- You love certain toys better than others. One in particular is a cow toy and you smile and coo at it and immediately clutch it to your chest and chomp down on it. So cute.
- I've given you rice cereal a few times and you weren't super interested. I've decided to hold off on foods until you're closer to 6 months so that I can do other foods besides rice cereal. I have mixed feelings on rice and since you don't technically need it now, I'm going to wait.
- You love watching your doggies run around and play. Jett will let you "pet" him but is not too fond of the fur pulling that comes after. I'm sure that in a few short months, he will come to appreciate you more.
- Your daddy trumps everyone else, even me. :) (but, I'm ok with that)
