As the first post on my new blog I wanted to let you know a little bit about myself and the idea behind this blog.
About Me:
My name is Becky. 26 years old. Married to the coolest techie in town. :)
We've been married 2.5 years and in that time we have lived in two different duplexes. We live in a college town, so while it's pretty common for young couples to rent it's not really what we want to do long term. It's o.k. for the time being (financially speaking), but someday in the near future we will own a home.
We recently moved into a bigger duplex after outgrowing our previous 900 sq. ft. (small!) home. Since moving in, my hubby, Dan, has given me freedom to commandeer one of the spare rooms to use as my 'own' craft room. YAY! In the 8 months that we've been here, crafts have seriously doubled. It's not that I have more time, I definitely don't, but I have more room to breathe and with breathing comes creativity.
Which brings me to the reason of this blog.
As long as I can remember I have dappled with various crafting/creating. From painting, decoupage or beading a pair of earrings; you name it, I've done it, but I've also lost track of it all.
I've also always loved cooking and as the years have gone by I've lost track of recipes, of completed meals that I've loved.
But that all ends now. Now that I have the room for more crafts, I will document it.
No more forgetting. This is now a way to remember the small things: the images I've painted, pillows I've sewn, Carbonara I've cooked. And the best thing of all; I get to share it with you. :)
Please, know that I am random. There might be times when I ramble, rant or am lost for ideas. Please know that those moments are just tidbits of who I am. I am honest, sometimes sarcastic (is there a font for that yet?) but most importantly I am here to share life.
